Just got a new camera, test photos

Hey all! I just got a new Camera (Fuji Finepix S5000) and i've taken a few testshots... I know the settings are wrong etc. but I haven't played around with it that long... also most of the settings are new for me (this is the most advanced camera I've ever had). Soo here they are:

The pictures: Umm, the first one doesnt interest in the slightest to be honest. The other two are basically the same image and the composition is rather boring. Do what ray MAN said, go take more pics.

Are these the first photos you've ever taken btw?

No, I've owned a few cameras before this one, and this is my first more advanced camera. And those shots were just test shots... I haven't really learned to use it yet.

Well, for the lamsp ones, try getting the dof so that you're only really focused on the lamp.

The lighbulb could be a really cool shoit if you had it centered and focused.

Ah.... you ended up getting the S5000? Man, you can't do night shots with that thing! Max shutter time is only 2 seconds . Good luck with it though, other than that its a pretty decent camera. Not as cool as mine though

I know the shutter speed is only 2 sec max, but I diddn't like the feel of the Z1 when I tried it out in a shop.
