Yep, this one right here
Once I figured out how to remove my old (stock) heatsink (this was my first time), installation was incredibly easy. All I had to do was throw a little thermal splooge on the proc (after cleaning it of course), sit the cooler on top and put the clip on, and it was done! Oh yeah, and I had to plug in the fan and speed controller, etc...
Once I booted up, I went straight into my BIOS setup to check PC HEALTH... my core temp was a good 10-15 deg C lower than it was previously (idle at 49-51, down from 59-64), unclocked.
So, I booted up Win2k and ran some Prime95 tests. Even under the torture tests the temp wouldn't raise above 52. Soo of COURSE you know what that means.
I clocked my 2800+ (2079 MHz) up to 2264 MHz. That's the highest I could get without getting errors in Prime95... and the temp STILL doesn't get above 55. I even tried bumping the VCORE up one notch, but that didn't seem to help with stability.
Anyways, any comments, suggestions, flames would be welcome!
