Gears Of War.
The Witcher.
Obolivion.
HL2 Ep1/2
F.E.A.R
C&C3
AOE 3+exp packs.

What else?

What parts exactly? Mainly what graphics card?

Call of Duty 4
Orange Box (scrap Ep1+2)
Medieval Total War II (if you like RTS)

I own those games so I personally suggest them.

You seem to like RPGs (2 in your list), so why not try:

Knights Of The Old Republic (heard its a great RPG)
HOM&M: Dark Messiah (simply because its very cheap)

I have about 2 years of games to play.

You'll be surprised at just how short some of these "AAA" titles are.

Maybe try Neverwinter Nights 2. I haven't played it since my comp is old'ish and there's no demo.

It looks really good on max. I can't play it very well on my current PC. I had to significantly reduce the graphic quality. i couldn't get into it. Hard to control, even with the patches that address the controls. The combat seemed incredibly horrible, but I never got past the training part where you attack scarecrows, so I'm not sure. The world is beautiful and interesting, but again, the control is quite bad.

I can't recommend it. If you have a higher end PC and can download the patches than you should have a better experience than me. But with the amount of great games out there, you probably won't even feel like devoting the time to play it.

Get the Introversion Pack from Steam. DEFCON will give you awesome deep single and multiplayer, Uplink will give you stylized hacking singleplayer with no depth, and Darwinia... I haven't played it.

It's only a twenty for three great games.

There have been quite a few good titles. If you like FPS, get COD4, UT3, Orange Box... shit, I have to think about this.

Psychonauts if you haven't played it before.

If you don't want to relive your traumatic experience in Iraq, don't get COD4.
There were insurgents running all over the place with RPG's and charging you, but then more kept coming...
Right?
Why would games lie to me?

Company of Heroes + Opposing Fronts
World in Conflict
Crysis
Call of Duty 4
Orange Box.

I don't quite recall when it came out, but if you missed it:

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl is very good. Replaying it at the moment with some mods. One to make it more 'horror' oriented I suppose, and one to make it wicked difficult.

Call of Duty 4 + Team Fortress 2 = All you need for MP FPS's. CoD4 SP is ace, as well.

For RPGs, I heard Neverwinter Nights 2 was good, but buggy as all hell. I downloaded it because I didn't like the first game much, wanted to try it out, and simply could not persuade it to run on my computer. Loads of graphical problems.

Good god, no.

Get Supreme Commander and Forged Alliance instead. Far better games ^_^

Good God, no.

The AoE3 games are very fun and fairly easy to get into.

Supreme Commander is so damn boring and it takes years to get an action packed game going.

World in Conflict was meant to be good too, on the strategy front. I didn't think much of the demo but my RTS nut friend seemed to take a liking to it. Looks alot more focussed on combat and teamwork (nifty class-based multiplayer) than base or resource management.

What else, uhh...

Did we mention Orange Box? Seriously, get that first. Something tells me some familiar ground will do you good to start with, and the episodes are fantastic (also Portal). Not to mention it's cheaper in the long run to get them as a pack, and well worth it.

Orange Box sucks, don't get it.

Get Crysis, it's sooo much better, fun and innovative than Orange Box!!

I know, I don't know what these guys are smoking.
Crysis > OB.
Please, OB God, Forgive me.

The AOE games ahve stayed the same since they were first created. They're horribly stagnant. They look old, feel old, play old. It's like sitting in a rover from 1980.

If you find Supreme Commander boring then you can't play it properly ;)

Games should be challenging. Challenging =/= fun, though.

Age of Empires.

You're talking about Age of Empires.

You have no opinion anymore. Be quiet and let the man buy Supreme Commander.

You might want to check out Age of Mythology though. It's bargain bin by now and still quite fun, if you like that sort of thing.

Oh lord, AOM was friggin' ace.

Company of Heroes + Opposing Fronts
World in Conflict
Crysis
Call of Duty 4
Orange Box.

And also:

Introversion Pack on Steam
STALKER
Supreme Commander
FEAR
Condemned
Gears of War
Viva Pinata (no, seriously)

Is Viva out for PC yet?

and yeah, despite the colourful atmosphere and setting, the game itself is much more.

Does Bethesda have any more Exp packs planned for Obolivion?

Not that I'm aware of, but you could always buy some shiny new horse armour.

Have you tried Morrowind? Alot of people here seem to prefer that to Oblivion, though I haven't played it myself.

Beat?

So you're saying you've played through every single sidequest and finished it in Oblivion+exp packs? How long have you been playing ingame?

Just a quick question, why do you keep calling it Obolivinon?

He probably means the main quests, and maybe the guild questlines. The rest are still sidequests, so pretty much optional.

Besides, with Oblivion, 'beating' it for most people meant 'getting bored of it'.

Obolivion is the special woodwind edition.

I'm still waiting for the answer to this:

...as it's the title of the thread 'n all...

Cause I was drunk when I first made the thread and I was drunk lastnight.

ALso. Main Quest, All the guild quests, the daedra quests and a bunch of the quests that you pickup running around. Also the exp packs and quests are done.

Own it and all the exp packs. Beat the main quests and most of the side quests. Morrowind is much better than oblivion.

6g of ram? isnt that a bit overkill? unless you do video/music production ..and the sas card ..is it worth the cost, I mean wouldnt the speed increase over traditional consumer level raid hd be negligible in gaming? ..unless you're also using this as a server

One can never have enough RAM. I use Linux and WinXp Pro SP3 candidate. **** vista.

The SAS card and HDDs were something that I saw and figured what the hell. I will be building a media server and the SAS controller and HDDS will go over to it. I myself do not notice much of a speed difference wile gaming, its moving large files that are fast.
