...and I came.

I must get the full version even though I'm broke and even if it means I'd have to resort to selling crack. It's everything Mercs 2 should've been.

I need to change my gooey pants now.

That is all.

It's a great game, and one of the rare games where I actually truly loved the MP.

What platform you getting it on?

Breakin' shit sure is fun, ain' it? Had a good bit of fun with the demo as well, but for $60 other priorities start to look shinier. The plot seemed ridiculous convoluted and the environments to be fairly drab and repetitive. Seems silly but I honestly think I'm fine playing the demo for a little stress relief before bed, I'm sure it's pretty representative of the entirety of the game.

Break shit on Mars, now with plotline potentially commenting on current political situations, but still not worth a shit to set itself apart from Halo Eleventy in terms of narrative! Greenlight the **** out of that, dudes.

I'mma getting that Demo after work today, thx for the tip.

Fun game but gets repetitive. The constantly spamming enemy when you were in the red alert phase pissed me off immensely. Even if you had the EDF control at 0 they kept coming. So I never really saw the point of that feature. Also lack of goddamn ammo ftl.

The SP demo is actually not very good at representing the rest of the game, as it is missing the sandbox element and it's on a timer. If you enjoyed the demo, the full game is a lot better.

The only reason I stopped playing the SP campaign at all was because I am hooked on the multiplayer right now.

Because I'm such a graphics whore, I'd like to get it on PC tbh (and probably would prefer the gameplay), but my system hardware is a little too tired for a modern game like this. I'd still be as happy as a clam to have it on the 360 though.

Your damn straight it's fun.
In fact, when I heard there was a demolition crew mode, I couldn't help but to reminisce the times I used to play Blast Corps on the N64. Good times. When I heard about this, plus the fact I like games where toppling a regime is involved, plus the fact I liked the original Red Faction, I was instantly hooked.

BTW BCH, I hear the demolition becomes even more chaotic as the game progresses. Bigger explosions, bigger bombs, and bigger structures to destroy, but since your not into that sort of thing quite as much. :p

Ah well, I was just thinking that your daily rage would be much more quenched if you tried the full version.

Are there any games you like thoroughly without negative criticism? :P

Resi 5 sucked, Far Cry 2 sucked, Fable 2 was boring. I guess I used to be that way too, but I have a rekindled hope for gaming.

Maybe it's just that your tastes are different than mine.

Aye I appreciate those who enjoy buying those games--hell, god knows I've bought a few in my years. Red Faction just didn't seem like it would do it for me, especially not at $60. I'll probably pick it up when it gets below $30.

Government crushing games, or the latter mentioned that Jimbo didn't like? Or just sandbox/destruction games in general?

What were some of your favorites?

In terms of games that I believe could do WAY more in terms of narrative, flavor and immersion but were still worth $60? Well, here goes:

Grand Theft Auto 4

And, uh--since the last console generation, nothing else really. I did pickup Fable II and Soul Calibur 4, but that was more or less just for friends to play while I get work done. I'm pretty damn stingy about games, I won't buy them unless I know I'll get that entire $60 worth. It's almost always worth waiting and saving the money while it goes towards greatest hits / bargain bin.

Coz they did/were.

You only enjoyed games that were PS3 exclusive?

To be fair, I'm a Rachet & Clank fan too. Unfortunately, it's the only game I really care about on the PS3. If I had a ton of money burning a hole through my wallet, I'd get a PS3 for that game alone and then hope for games I give a rat's arse about.

*sigh* Sony's glory days are over. I wish Insomniac hadn't branded that franchise as a PS3 exclusive.

At least I can still get RF:Guerrilla.

He'd probably prefer to have no accusations whatsoever LOL

Rented Red Faction ... not too bad. It's a hell of a lot better than the Saints Row series but not nearly as good as the first Red Faction. They did a pretty good job of evoking nostalgia on that one mission I just completed that involved heading into an old Ultor mining building. Just using similar textures/architecture did a decent job of reminding me that this is in fact the same series :p .

Dude you just constantly troll people. It's like you sit around waiting for people to say random shit so you can make smarmy comments. Annoying.

I rented RF:Guerrilla today. I just couldn't stand it any longer and I'm having a hell of a time too! Great game.

That one mission your talking about is "Ultor echoes". I'm not sure if you noticed this or not, but that section of the old Ultor building was Capek's secret nano lab. I recognized it immediately because of the raised platform in the middle plus the layout of the rest of the room. I'm gonna re-play the original until I get to that area to confirm.

The thing I don't get though is that area of the complex was underground in the original RF.

BTW, how do you get to the irradiated section of the Badlands?

That's pretty awesome, and no I didn't notice it. I love when games do that, reminds me of how Perfect Dark had the old Goldeneye guns in the display windows of the firing range.

Unfortunately I don't have the answer to your second question.

BTW, how do you get to the irradiated section of the Badlands?

You get a special vehicle in a mission which specifically requires you to traverse said section iirc.
