...and left expecting more. I was disappointed to what they did with the sequel. I could sum this movie up in one single word: BOOOOOOORING!

If you have the option of seeing two movies, this being one of them, you'll most likely enjoy the other movie. The first one was awesome, but the sequel didn't stay true to its roots on many accounts. It was all over the place...*YAWN*

Also, the acting in this movie really needed some tuning to make it engaging and believable.

D+

Not suprised, the first one was awful, and sequels are almost always worse.

I'm certain there's a film factory that churns out films that look good on the trailer, but are completely crappy when you go see them. They always make a lot of money but nobody actually likes the films.

Some films on this list: Jeepers Creepers, Jeepers Creepers 2, The Ring, The Ring 2, xXx, and countless hundereds more (like 70% of all new releases)

I liked the original :)

The sequal was crappy tho.

The sequel was great imo.
The acting was awesome...
And the movie delivered what it said it would...scaryness.
It made me jump quite a few times.
Overall skipping the technical crap...

Can anyone tell me (in spoiler tags) that 'reindeer-scene' many reviews talk of?

If you're talking about the remake...
Kill yourself now.
If you're talking about the Jap. version...hug yourself now.

I have a bad memory but here's how I believe it played out:
Well, there's a scene where the boy (Aiden from the first movie) is at some sort of martket/fair and he's looking out into the distance and a deer's head suddenly peeks up over the grass and stares at him. When he and his mother leave and are driving along a road in the woods, a deer suddenly walks out into the road in front of them. They slam on the brakes and stop before hitting it. The boy wispers "Don't stop. Keep driving." The mother is shaken up and she just sits there looking at the deer. Suddenly two more jump out of the trees from each side and ram the driver/passenger windows with their antlers. They start driving to get away and the deer are stuck in the windows but eventually get free. They then hit one head on, which breaks the windshield and dents the top of the car. They try to drive away but eventually the car gets totally surrounded by deer... there are like 50 just standing around them, staring at them. They drive slowly and manage to get through.
Again, that might not be totally accurate but it was something very close to that. I thought it was a really good, creepy scene.

Overall I didn't like it as much as the original but thought it was worth seeing... if you liked the first, of course. The ending of the first one left it wide open and the sequel pretty much concludes everything.

I plan on seeing it. Ring was good, Ringu was good, so Ring 2 should be alright.

I'm a fan of scary movies......guess it's worth a few bux...

God, I hate movies who's sole purpose is to have annoying jump-scenes. Is The Ring like that at all? (either one)

I left the theater because I didn't wanna waste my time on it...

But you wasted your money on it?

EDIT: Damn, there goes my evil 666 post count.

Just saw it last night. I've never seen the first one, and now I have no desire to. The movie just wasn't SCARY.

I personally just don;t support american remakes of japanese movies, or any foreign movies for that matter, they all tend to suck balls because us americans like to dumb them down, which is horrible
