Just updated Steam and I cannot open "Play Games"

When I click on Play games the whole of Steam freezes up and it has to be quit.

I can't play the game!!!

Just out of interest, what was the update? DoD:S?

I can't open any sub-menu now. Help! ;(

this started happening to me yesterday aswell, it has something to do with the update.

just open steam, log in as usual and close the main window and don't try to use steam for 5 or 10 minutes.

not sure why, but i was able to use it after that and it works fine now straight away aswell.
