ummm...im kinda confused on what gfx card i should get kind of... i was going to get the evga geforce 7800gtx 512mb, but it seems like no one has that one anymore so im just wondering what the current best graphics card might be (Nvidia and ATI) and also which manufacturer is recommended.

If you can find the 7800GTX 512mb I'd go for it...else the Ati Radeon 1900XT should offer similar performance and actually be a little cheaper.

well, for the manufacturer what should i go with, cuz i want to be able to SLI in the future and the from what i can tell the asus model isn't SLI compatible. so should i go with the BFG make or the EVGA make?

Actually Sniper if you truely want the most performance I'd go with the 1900XT. The performance is on par with a 7800GTX but for quite a few games like FEAR for instance the 1900XT, like the 1800XT, just kicks complete ass because of amazing dynamnic memory branching.

It should also be a little bit cheaper.

no, if he truly wanted the most performance he'd get a 7800gtx and then another later on for SLI.....

what about 2 x1900xtx cards in crossfire cuz it seems like ati might be cheaper than nvidia in card prices?

One x1900xt or xtx should suffice (or kick serious ass) for now. The x1900xt is around 30 percent faster (at least) than the x1800xt in the majority of games, and the x1800xt isn't exactly a slouch !! 2 would be overkill at the moment imo.
