Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days - Pre-Order Now

Well, with every new release on Steam, more and more games are coming equipped with Steamworks and its suite of services. Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will be another title added to that list.

July 26, 2010 -- Square Enix Limited and Valve today announce an agreement to use Steamworks to power the PC version of Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, making use of a host of Steamworks features and offering the highly anticipated PC title electronically to the more than 20 million Steam gamers around the world.

This means that, on all PC versions, Kane & Lynch 2 will come standard with auto-updating, matchmaking, Steam achievements, stats and leaderboards. All of the goodies.

Pay attention now: The game will be available this August 17th in North America, August 20th throughout Europe and other PAL territories, and August 26th in Japan. In the meantime, you can pre-order and receive 10% off, and there's a demo available now on the Steam Store page.

Didn't play the original, but tried the demo out of interest.

The gameplay is basically just the shooting part from GTA4, but far more scripted/static. And some annoying 'cinematic effects'
