...and while selecting boot method (normal, safe boot etc.).
Recently my Media-tech PS/2 keyboard (cheap stuff, but it served it's purpose well) has died and I plugged in some other one that I found in my house - a Fujitsu Siemens (apparently they come with Dells); PS/2 as well. Apart from the fact that it's heavy and clunky and took some time to get used to (I like to move my keyboard when I play), I've got another problem.
It doesn't work in BIOS. It works during the first phase of booting, it responds to pressing the 'delete' key, but then the led's (those indicating if the caps, num or scroll lock is on) go off and the keyboard stops responding. Same thing with selectiong the boot method - it reacts to the F8 key, buth then I can't do anything.
Is there anything I can do with it? Any quick fix? Bear in mind I cannot access BIOS to change any legacy setting, whatever that means and that is a PS/2 keyboard not USB. I'll probably have to get a new keyboard, but I'm taking my chance and asking you for help.
