Kid bites off more than he can chew

Rofl.

Those peppers are so hot, they have to pick them with gloves on or receive burns on your hands.

Oh I see. Yeah, that was hilarious. Those things are damned hot.

rofl, take that stupid.

"OHHH EVERYBODY SAYS THAT ITS TOO HOT! WATCH ME, A LITTLE KID EAT IT!"

*pass out*

LOL I love how he starts convulsing and making muffled screams.

WINRAR!

Haha :D

I was watching the video again and right as he was biting into the pepper a 300 ad popped up saying "PREPARE FOR GLORY!".

I lol'd.

it's a mental thing to get over hot peppers, since the the burn doesn't actually hurt you at all

since living in new mexico for awhile, you build up a sort of immunity to them D:

Doesn't it seriously harm your tastebuds, though?

All chili peppers contain phytochemicals known collectively as capsaicinoids. These are a proven treatment for skin pain. They are the primary active ingredient in over-the-counter topical ointments and may alleviate a wide range of joint and muscle pain, including pain from arthritis.[12]

Current research shows positive results in a wide range of benefits from internal ingestion of capsaicinoids. They have been shown, in laboratory settings, to shrink cancerous tumors with minimal side-effects. [13] They are known to control or even eliminate certain parasites in the gastro-intestinal tract; for this reason, they are a useful dietary component in tropical regions.[14] Chili peppers might have cardiovascular benefits, although proven benefits appear to be limited to increased myocardial perfusion in men.[15]Some sources also claim weight loss properties (by inducing thermogenesis).[16] Hot peppers can provide symptomatic relief from rhinitis and possibly bronchitis by thinning and clearing mucus from stuffed noses or congested lungs.[17] One very promising avenue of research lies in the prevention and control of hyperglycemia and diabetes; according to a study by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the amount of insulin required to lower blood sugar after a meal is reduced if the meal contains chili pepper.[17] Canadian researchers believe that chilies might play a vital role in treating diabetes.[18] Chili pepper as a component in weight loss diets has been the subject of a book titled "The Chili Pepper Diet"[19].

That's chili pepper though, I understand that. But having something so "painfully hot"...I heard one time that it damaged the tastebuds. Got any wiki article con that?

Are they actually used in cooking? I thought the kid was going to pull his face off.

yes, they are used in cooking, but definitely not that much. They use just a hint to add a good amount of spice to it. He took down, what, 1/3 of the pepper? Hell, people only use very small fractions to spice up a dish.

A properly grown habanero . . . even like 1/20th of an square inch is enough to put most people in pain, I used to pull pranks with various by-products of habaneros; those things are dangerous in the "right" hands.

I dont think they ever actually hurt you physically. As I understand it, they just make your nerves fire off false signals of pain while the pepper does literally zero physical damage.

Kinda on the same principle of pepper spray i guess.

Does anyone remember that episode of the Simpsons where Homer ate that crazy hot pepper and basically went out on an acid trip? That was ****ing awesome.

Totally fake. Hots of these kinds can burn holes in your stomach and create ulcers for the rest of your life. The kid would by crying and have snot and drool coming out of his face. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasabi Wasabi is a really bad root that is very hot. It's usually ground into a paste for sushi. All you need is a slight pinch of it. If you look on youtube you can find some people snorting it. Don't watch the Jackass one though: he vomits. :x Bread and milk is what you want, not water.

Mmm wasabi. I keep a tube in my fridge. Sushi's great with some soy sauce and wasabi.
