Well I just saw the movie Kids from 1995 about the teenagers in NYC doing some crazy ****. Its a very good movie and is what adults need to see to know whats going on with todays youth. Anyone else ever seen this movie (kinda rare), and your thoughts?

I remember hearing about it but never saw it :(

Hey im gonna watch it today - ill post back tomorrow, tell ya my thoughts on it.

I've seen it once or twice, it's OK.

I hated the movie... well, I hated the kids in it.

I don't get the point in it tough, we all know that the youth is rotten, don't we?

We know as youth ourselves but I dont think anyone else really had an exact idea of what stuff is like, especially back in 1995.
Yeah Stardog the guy who played Casper hung himself, recently I think.
But let me ask another question, anyone who has seen it- do you think the foul language was too exaggerated? I mean sure the excessive drug use and sleeping around is city/location dependant but what about the language? Personally I dont think it was at all, at least thats how we talk were I live. Anyone else?

Nah f*ck it. I'm fairly well spoken but I swear all the f*cking time.
It's a shame because the words start to lose their impact. I can call friends a c*nt and it'll roll off them like water off a duck's back.
I suppose for real effect it's all in the tone of voice.
You tw*t.

The N word? Nonce? Nob? Or the racist N-word? Not really and the ones that do generally look retarded. I certainly don't but then I couldn't really carry it off.

Swearing (at least the real heavy string-of-nonsense stuff) was much more prevalent in grade school and early highschool around here than at any other time.

^^^ Where is here... you mean where you grew up or where you now go to college? I think it depends on where you live, cause we use the N word around my parts, which is Maryland- but close to Baltimore.

I grew up in Connecticut, so its the same thing. :D
Although I'm sure this is the sort of thing that will vary even from town/city to town/city.

I hardly swear at all, I guess one grows up. a shame really...

One can still be "mature" and swear, dear boy.

SWEARING IS BOTH BIG AND CLEVER

not really, unless we have different definitions of swearing

blah, they're just words at the end of the day, usually particularly powerful words for expressing things like distaste for something.

i swear quite a bit, i think its funny. it gets pretty bad when i get mad then its just @#(%& @(#% *@*%&@#&*( %@(#&% @( @(#&

Yeah I agree movie is ok = 6/10. These kids made life look meaningless - smoke weed and have constant sex. This is what happen when people dont have hobbies, when theyre struck with boredom through their young days. Sad thing is yet ive known some people who always brag about sex and getting high. I dunno if i should have sympathy for them, but i did feel sorry for jenny. And yeah where i live people would talk like that, its all really pathetic.

It was said with more than a twinge of irony, dear boy.
