Kill Bill

i agree...great kung fu film. I heard that there was something after the credits, but at the theater i saw it at, there was nothing.

No Hunter, Bill is a guy, that chick is Gogo from the movie, real name is Chiaki Kuriyama.

dang, I lost all my authority in movie-going decisions after the Matrix Reloaded fiasco. Too add insult to injury, my friends also developed a peculiar hate of all kung-fu style movies.

I would like to see this one, but going alone will suck. RoTK is my only safe bet

Wasn't that chick in Battle Royale?

Correct, and this is why Tarantino called her for this role.

Oh God. Wasn't Battle Royal that sick movie where a buch of school children like... killed each other?

Also, being that the movie rather close to my name. I kinda get the whole "Kill Bill" thing at school. Rather un-nerving at times...

Yes.

Isn't there a BR2?

Black Momba (code name for Uma Thurman) is going after these people that killed everyone at her wedding and her unborne baby. They shot her in the head but she didnt die. Bill is the head guy she's after. All the others ( 4 others) were part of some kind of assasination squad or somthing, she was also part of it but i guess she had left them or somthing.

I've already seen this movie twice. I NEVER see a movie twice in the theater.

People, so nobody seen it? Bleh, everybody went to see Reloaded, but not this, heretics! Go into the theater NOW and after you done, start worshiping Tarantino.

Yes I know, I mean nobody shares their experience anymore or what :)

Great movie I want to see it again.

the animation was awsome too.

anyone know who did it?

Yeah, loved anime part too, I will ask over at anime forums, I bet they know :)

I want to see it again. It kicked so much ass...

I saw it today and I thought it was great. Also, all of the music tracks in the movie were fantastic.

Yeah, best movie I've seen in a long time. Tarantino is a genius - great plot, great writing, great directing, and great action. Not to mention Uma Thermon did a kickass job of playing "The Bride" too.

I don't think it topped Pulp Fiction though, but it's still a fantastic movie. Maybe Vol. 2 will change my mind.

Ah, couldn’t find out who helped Tarantino with that anime sequence. By the way, any of you seen Tarantino on Leno two weeks ago?

tarantino is my favorite directo, i saw kill bill the day it came out, then i downloaded battle royale so i could see more of gogo :-D that girl is hot, her nose looks funny, but somehow it just makes her seem more lovable. blah, i didnt see her in BR, can someonepost a screenshot? i dunno which chick she was.

Yeah, he was drunk off his ass. Pretty funny :p

What's this movie really like because it seems to be very, very strange evne for a Tarantino film. From what the trailer shows, the story just seems off the wall and bizarre. Is it supposed to be believable or just entertaining. That's the main reason why I'm not too interested in it; it just looks dumb or like some kind of live action cartoon, which for some reason doesn't sound appealing to me.

lol, I saw Tarantino on a sort of behind the scenes look on kill bill, man he's crazy jumping around everywhere in his black kung fu suit, I have no clue why he was wearing it though.

I still haven't seen KB, I will soon, if not it'll be a dvd buy.

You have to see it in the theaters. I can tell its one of those movies that really wont be the same at home. When they show it in the theater it is SO LOUD! The first part of the movie where Uma gets shot in the head is so loud you feel it.

Aw man.....I just thought of a good sig!

There we go.

[edit] What the hell? My sig isnt showing up![/edit]

anime was done by production IG... they did Blood: The Last Vampire, and Jin Roh.

Everyone jumped on that gun shot, LOUD SOUND . WHICH IS GREAT!

haha yeah, I definitely jumped a couple of inches out of my seat on that one.

I'm tempted to go see it again.....*looks in wallet* ......well umm...nevermind. Still a great movie though.

Well, I know I'm ressurecting this old thread, but I just got back from the theatres from seeing Kill Bill and I thought it was great. Can't wait till Part 2. And isn't there a Kill Bill anime series?

Never herd about any anime series. Quintin is going to start working on another movie soon that will be a two parter. Cant remember what it was called.... think it had "bastards" in the title.

Check out my sig!

Kill Bill is a two parter :|

I wanna see Battle Royale, and yeah BR2 is out or being made, the director died but his son is apparently doing a great job of living up to his legacy :) Chiaku isn't the girl who gets her skull split open by a teacher for speaking out of turn is she? :D LOL I read that somewhere, didn't know whether to laugh or cry :p

Haha, I just watched Battle Royal..Good movie..Kind of wacko though. LOL. And I heard Kill Bill Part 2 comes out this Feb 2004 right?

Sorry to bring this back up, but I just saw this at the weekend and I'm so impressed with it I just had to tell people!

Wow! And the soundtrack is awesome.

Ahhh, just watched it yesterday. It came out in movies 4 days ago...

I'm impressed. Far better than all matrix crap out there (and YES, you can compare it in a way).

And the soundtrack was absolutely fantastic. By far best use of non-classical music themes I ever saw in a movie.

I saw it two days ago and I loved it. I can't wait for the Directors cut DVD so i can see that bloody fight scene in color. Stupid MPAA. When she hacked that dude right in half I couldn't believe what I was seeing. For those who have asked, the movie isn't very plot heavy, which is OBVIOUSLY the way Tarantino meant for it to be. It's a great action movie. The one thing I do have to say is that I was disappointed with the soundtrack. I had heard all of these great things, and was expecting something very different than what I heard. But that's what I get for having preconcieved notions. I recomend this movie to anyone who is of age to watch it.

What were you hearing about...?

The soundtrack is exactly tarantino style... Some are quite progressive, others funky, it really fits in perfectly and is great to listen to. Soundtrack was exactly what I expected... especially the track from the trailer and the bar scene in movie, where lucy liu is out in scene, from hotei tomoyasu, called "battle without honor or humanity" is really gorgeous.

And all the other soundtracks as well...
