Kinda dumb question about parts from an old computer

I have two old computers in my garage I think they're 166mhz Pentium's, yeah I know they're old. My question is could I use one of their hard drives in my system cause I could use some extra space. I wouldn't mind having more RAM, but I'd guess that it would be too old to do much.

That is back in the era of 2 GB Harddrives. They would probably work, but they will be incredible slow and will not provide much use to you at all.

As for RAM, you can't put that in your computer it has the wrong number of pins. Not to mention the RAM would be as slow as molasses.

the best use for those (if they are complete systems) is to donate them to a worthy charity / shelter. Also you can "freecycle" them on several internet boards.
