It looks like its pretty much a indie version of a Total War game with RPG elements. I've only watched a few videos on it so far, but it actually looks really good. It looks like it could actually compete with the Total War series, and possibly be better than it in many regards. A Total War game with King Arthur fantasy elements and role playing aspects? **** yes. Will probably get this game on steam after Christmas is over.

http://www.kingarthurthewargame.com/main.html (the stupid flash homepage takes a second to load, give it a minute)

I was going to come in here and say, "Let me know when they make a game based off King Arthur and the Knights of Justice," but then I watched the video and holy shit this practically is. They've got spells n' shit. Needs more scandalous metal soundtrack though.

It looks good tho but they want £35 for it on steam, hoping I can find it somewhere else. Anyone know if there is a retail version?

That looks much better than I expected - very pc.

I think its just on steam for now. They dont seem like a big studio, so a full retail release may be out of their means.

Thanks for watching the wideo.

haha.

Anyway, this looks cool. I want to see more of the combat portion of the game.

EDIT: I am watching the first video now, which after the 3 minute mark has some in game combat footage.

I know dude. I ****ing loved King Arthur and the Knights of Justice as a kid. My favorite was Warlord Blackwing... awesome.

When I saw the armor of some of the knights, it reminded me completely of the show.

The Gamespot review is supposedly pretty spot on from what I have heard. And some of the gripes were fixed with the first patch. Basically if you like an RPG version of a Total War game, this is the one to get. I might buy this.

I think I'll pick it up if its cheapish during the post-Xmas sales.

Looks like a lot of fun, seeing as though I've enjoyed Total War.

Wait... post X-mas sale? Is that when sales on steam are typically offered?

I want to get ArmA 2 at a discount... I hope they offer it up for sale again this month!

I can remember it happening last year, a fake 'Xmas Stocktake' sale. Worth a laugh seeing as though Steam doesn't have any real stock.

Have any of you played this yet?

Is it good?

Its good, i just gave up and got this with Total War Medieval 2. So far not had time to play much but do a few missions in the tutorial chapter, its total war with magic :p

It looks fun to me. I just got Medieval 2 and I've been enjoying that despite it's tedium. This looks a little softer and maybe even more fun, but it's too expensive for me at the moment. I don't buy non-sale Steam games. So why was the Christmas sale like a full month ago? I thought it was a pre-christmas-sale sale and there'd be another one closer to Christmas? Disappointing that I'll prolly have to wait a thousand years before Dragon Age is on sale again.

This is why I have mixed feelings.

I'm not a magic kinda catgirl.

It's not that heavily into magic. I mean even the mages have little mana and i dont think it recharges in a battle.

I'm not really a fan of this "heroes" nonsense, but the graphics look nice.

You should all play Knights of Honor in the meantime. http://www.firingsquad.com/media/article_image.asp/1696/25

Much better than all the TW games - although you should automate the TW-style battles.

I'll have a look at it, but the heroes is just how it works in fantasy settings :p

A demo has been released. You can find it on Steam amongst other places. Dowloading now. Quite anxious to play this.

I've been playing this and I must say it really is quite fun, much prefer it to Total War, think the questing aspect is why really, never gotten along too well with the 'just get on with it' nature of Total War.

Did a review on The Reticule too.

I will have to try this at the very least. Looks MUCH better than I thought it would. Seems right up my alley.

I have yet to play it although I've owned it for months now. I think I'm just going to wait till the expansion packs come out.
