How many people are uberly phsyked about this movie?
im wonderign how well Jack Black will do in a Dramatic role instead of a comedic role like he is used 2

It'll be tough for me not to laugh at Mr. Black, even if he's trying to be busy. I think this'll be interesting for a display of special effects, not much more. Kind of like the recent (2000?) remake of Godzilla. I'll probably never see it unless all my friends tell me it's pleasantly surprising.

It'll probably drown in it's own hype. :x

But then again, they said that about LOTR, soo...we'll see. ^^

It looks interesting. I'm going to see it. And if Mr. Black isn't telling a joke, why would I laugh? I don't see why people find it so hard for comedic actors to do a dramatic role. Jim Carrey was amazing in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

When I first heard about King Kong I had the same scepticism as I did about LotR. "Peter Jackson could potentially ruin a childhood memory."

Luckily I was pleasantly surprised by LotR, and when I saw the first few KK shots, I changed my mind and realised he could probably pull this off too.

So..yeah. Just another film that makes this Autumn/Winter period one of the best for films ever.

Ive made up my mind from seeing LOTR..............."If it's Jackson, it's worth it"

I think that this will be Mr. Jackson's first failure (Heheh Bad Taste wasn't a failure).

I've seen some of the trailers and it's a meh, plus Jack Black being casted into a serious role is too wierd, I'll be watching him throughout the whole movie waiting for him to whip out a guitar or something. We'll see.

I'm psyched. I was a little worried when I heard the idea, but after seeing what he's done with it I feel stupid for doubting. It's a great old story and it really looks like he's done it justice.
