So... who watches and enjoys this show?

Now... before you jump up and say 'That show is for rednecks and conservatives. its stupid", don't... because you'd be jumping to conclusions.

The show very much appears that way, but its actually rather interesting in the fact that it portrays conservatism and liberalism, both in extreme and moderate dosages, and how they clash with each other on a daily basis with amusing results. Heh.

When i first saw it, i thought it was boring, then a couple of years later i watched it again, i thought it was reasonable. I don't find it funny though and never will.

king of the hill is decent, I'd rather watch it nowa' days because the simpsons just isn't funny any more imo, they're trying too hard. But yeah it's a decent show i'll watch it on tv if there's not much else on

King of the Hill has a more realistic portrayal of humans than most sitcoms (and that's saying a lot). I also like that it has a consistency to it. Other shows like the Simpsons have altered the characters so much that it just doesn't feel like the same show anymore.

The only problem now is that the series is in the dreaded 7PM timeslot (the timeslot that killed Futurama). It's quite difficult to watch at that time because I'm just finishing a golf game or I'm on the go somewhere. I always make it back at 7:30 for some reason.

Anyway it's a great show that's quite smarter than other series that rely on stuff like slapstick.

King of the Hill is a pretty acurate portrayal of US culture as it doesn't stick just strictly to the 4 guys but goes all over the city (mainly the south, or at least here in a sense, particularly like in the Kingman, Arizona neighborhoods where people know each other and stuff )

I watched an episode out of curiousity and it was so boring, it was like watching some guy wearing a dress on the beach/Poor attempt at getting a laugh out of people.

It's a complete snorefest in my opinion.
I just can't believe that they keep airing crap like this and shows like Family Guy and Futurerama keep getting canned.(Well,they're back now.Thank God)

I'll never understand the hatred for Hank Hill that's about .

I guess it just is great because you can relate to the stuff a lot. If it was a show set in England or something like that with stuff happening I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much.

I love King Of The Hill. People always expect it to be funny BECAUSE IT'S A CARTOON. King Of The Hill is not like Family Guy or the Simpsons and nor does it try to be. Instead it comments on the average american and the messages it sends out with every episodes are important. The characters are strong too, when something bad happens you feel sorry for them, unlike the simpsons where the characters are paper thin and it's really embarrasing to watch.

I just love it because Mike Judge is behind it too (the man who gave us Beavis & Butthead).

thats true but really king of the hill get boring fast IMO

Yeah he does Hank's voice (and a few other characters,he also did B&B's voices).

In some episodes Hank sounds like a ground up version of Butthead, especially when he laughs.

Also the old guy from Beavis and Butthead (particularly the movie, Beavis and Butthead Do America) - the tourist that keeps getting hassled by the FBI and eventually arrested wrongly at the end. Looks just like Hank Hill only older/fatter and has the exact same voice.
