Answer: "F*CK YES"

Where are you stuck?

I want to fight setheroth were do I find him he is not were he should be like I saw on the g4tv guide. And does anyone have a good strategy for beating saix in the castle. He is very hard. The keyblade I have is the oblivian key blade.

Sephiroth should be near the Dark Depths if I remember correctly on Radiant Garden but he doesn't show up until you talk with the FFX-2 chicks again. I remember looking for him and I checked my journal, it said something about "Meet the girls again", the FFX-2 girls that is. They're closer to Ansem's Study on the Postern if I'm not mistaken. They tell you he's at the Dark Depths which is beyond that huge field where you had to kill the 1000 heartless. At least that's what I think it was, it's been like 3 months since I played the game.

Saix wasn't too big of a problem for me and I don't remember him very well. He's the 2nd to last Org. XIII guy you fight in the World that Never Was right? I think he had some berserk bar or something.

The only reason he wasn't a problem is because I leveled to 99 by then (easy with the Gullwing keyblade, EXP Bonus, and magnega on the top of Pride Rock) and had pretty much everything mastered. I'd also recommend you track down all the pieces to Ultima Weapon. MP Hastega is really nice to have.

Sorry I can't really help you with Saix. I just don't remember what I did to beat him.

I have gotten the gullwing key blade from the ffx2 girls do I Get to talk to them again? And what do I need to get for the ultima keyblade?

You're supposed to let Saix beat up on you over and over again so you can keep watching his awesome cutscene. :p

He's actually a pretty easy fight. Simply jump around to avoid his attacks, and get some air combos in on him until he drops his sword. Pick up the sword and use that against him. You'll pop him up in the air and hit him a few times before you lose the claymore and the process starts over.

How's the actual gameplay of KH2? I'm a bit turned off by the whole cartoony-disney feel, especially since I'm starting FFXII atm. I remember I slightly played the original and felt 'meh' about it...

Have ya ever watched crouching tiger hidden dragon? Its sorta like that ya fly around jump off walls beat the livin crap outa people with a blade shaped like a key.

It's definitely got some cheesy things to get through but the overall plot arc is very interesting.

Let me start by summing up the initial plot of KH1.

You're Sora, a young guy on an island dreaming of exploring the world with your friends Riku and Kairi.

Before you even are introduced to all that, you make a few choices that affect your entire game. You get dropped onto this stained glass platform and choose what your primary stat will be (str, def, magic) and what your poorest stat will be. This choice also determines what abilities you get at what levels. They throw some basic enemies at you so you know how to fight a little bit. Then you go up a ramp and a MASSIVE boss comes up. He's huge enough that you have to jump on his hand, run up his arm and wail away at his face to damage him properly.

You're back on the island and you do some small stuff, then the world starts to get swallowed up by the Heartless - the main enemy force of the game. Your world is being destroyed piece by piece. You kind of get swallowed up by the darkness.

You wake up in a new world called Traverse Town. You learn that there are lots of worlds in the universe that are supposed to be separated but as the darkness is swallowing up these worlds the barriers between the worlds are breaking down as well. You eventually learn there is a weapon out there called the Keyblade that chooses it's wielder based on their strength of heart (heart is an obvious running theme in these games). You are the chosen Keyblade wielder. You have to go around from world to world (which is where some lame Disney mini-plots come in) sealing off each world's keyhole (basically the gateway for the darkness).

The plot of KH1 is a lot more simple compared to the plot of KH2. KH2 has a running overall plot that is VERY cool and very intriguing. There's an enemy organization called Organization XIII that is up to something this time, and you're somehow connected.

The combat ends up being button smashing but it still manages to be a lot of fun, especially with the improvements in KH2.

If you can get through the corny and cheesy parts in each game then I DEFINITELY recommend them.

My favorite Organization XIII member:

His spinning flaming pinwheels or whatever you wanna call them are really cool.

And of course not only are there Disney chars, but there's Square chars too:

Yes you fight Sephiroth and he is f*cking hard :P

Friend hired it a couple weeks back and I watched him play the first few hours. Jesus... can anyone say interactive cutscene?

Also, when you see Disney on the box, the last thing you expect is a goddamn mind**** wrapped in a conundrum sauteed with WTFsauce for a plot.

But yeah... it looks nice anyway :)

Yeah, the plot is a lot more confusing at the beginning than you'd think. It continues from where the GBA game Chain of Memories leaves off. I read the story faq on gamefaqs before starting KHII and it made a lot more sense to me.

When KH2FM comes out, it'll be packaged with Chain of Memories redone for the PS2, so you'll actually get to play through that "lost year" of the game.

I played through most of it on the GBA. The card battle system's interesting. The story's mostly rehash of KH with slight differences because you're in this mysterious castle where your memories are being rewritten. Biggest contributions to the story come from the scenes with the Organization.

Won't Final Mix only be available in Japan though, just like KH1 FM and the "international" version of FFX (and others)

My favourite was finally hearing a voice actor for Squall. And good voice actors all round.

I believe they're going to release it in the US as well, because of the CoM game. This is at least what I have heard.

Final Mix being Japanese won't bother me any, in any case. Imports. :D I beat KH2 in Japanese before getting the English version.

Odd it'd be a continuation of a game from a Nintendo system, onto a Sony system... Square really do like to juggle their loyalties :P

It was a Playstation game first. :p

PS2, GBA, PS2. PS3? :D

So, given that Chain of Memories will be brought back to the system the series started on, that's kind of an admission that it was a little silly to assume people had played a minor sequel game so that they'd understand how it effects events in the true sequel. That and the fact that Square Enix just like to see how many times they can get their fanbase to pay for exactly the same thing.
Square really do like to juggle their royalties :P
Fixed!

Should I wait for KH2:FM or just start KH2 and read the gamefaqs (like what Amish did)

There is zero indication that Final Mix will find its way to the western world. Every other special release created by Square for the Japanese market in this way has never recieved a Western release, though argueably this is the most content they've ever put into a special release. Regardless of whether it does make it outside of Japan, it won't arrive for a year or more, and the game in question can be played the way it was originally intended to anyway: through a GBA. Or another completely nudgewinkundisclosedbuttotallyimplied way of experiencing it. You know. With a Rod Hull. And by that I don't mean anything to do with TV aerials and unfortunate falls.

More of the second part than the first part. That is, I'm pretty sure a lot of people bought CoM for the Gameboy, especially if they were big fans of the first game (a friend of mine even bought one of those limited edition .jp Kingdom Hearts GBAs to go with it, even though he already had a GBA). But yeah, now it's just an excuse to see if they CAN get more money out of people.

Which they can.

Just go ahead and play KH2. You're not missing much, honest. In fact, here's all you need to know:

*Spoilers*
There's an organization out there made up of 13 members, a few of which have split off from the main group to achieve their own ends. Sora ends up in a place called Castle Oblivion, where this mysterious girl named Namine is rewritting his memories. He proceeds through 13 floors of the castle, reliving his past adventure while confronting members of the organization, eventually defeats their would-be leader, and Namine has him step into a machine that will fix his memories.

Meanwhile, Riku and Mickey also enter the castle, Riku gets separated from Mickey, finds out that Ansem is still inside of him as long as he has darkness in his heart, but decides to try and master that darkness, becoming someone who is both between light and dark.

*End spoilers*

Lol, King Mickey with a Keyblade. A sight of sights.

Is there gonna be a second version of the game? and chain of memories on ps2 I only played it on gameboy.
