I'm not sure if any of you have played this newly released game or not, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far. The game has a gorgeous environment and a lot of variety. The combat is turned based and uses a block moving system. You can buy troops and built up your army for the battles. It also uses a tree style (WoW) talent system. I've only played a few hours so far, but I've read that it is about 40+ hours in length. If you're looking for a different type of RPG I definitely recommend it.

Here's the Gamespy review. About the only place I found that reviewed it. Which is a shame more people don't know about it.

Is this a remake of the OOOLD pre-Heroes of Might and Magic game King's Bounty? It looks sort of similar but that game is at least 15 years old now.

looks just like HOMM5, hopefully its better.

Yeah it's a remake of some classic game. So I'm guessing it is the one you mentioned.

Oh wow, this looks really cool. I just wish I had money for games right now.

Oh and another thing. I want to know why that knight guy is riding a friggin pony.

Looks pretty cool, might be a strategy RPG I can actually get behind. The HOMM series was great, but there were always a few things that bugged me about it, usually in regards to the combat. I've always wanted something similar, but a bit more tight and streamlined (without culling too much depth) and with more emphasis on the RPG elements. This looks like it might be the ticket. :)

Why wasn't the general population informed of the existence of this game before it came out?

Aw cool. I'm enjoying HoMM 5 at the moment, so I might check this out too.
I loved King's Bounty... though it was damn hard. Every time I get a nice big army built up I ran into some ****ing devils.

Oh come on...
My little pony? Pretty men? References to the king's bounty bar? this is clearly a gaym.

I absolutely loved king's bounty back in the day on the sega genesis. This looks to be a pretty faithful recreation.

It's going to be shit if Atari's track record as of recently is to go by.

Well I've already played a bit of it and I can tell you it's not shit. It's a different type of RPG that I've never experienced. It's good if you're looking for something new.

There's a Demo if anyone is interested. Here

I gave Kings Bounty & good solid 3 hours test & I just could not seem to get into it. The graphics are very nice & the audio is decent, but I am more interested in a game where I directly control the hero & so right off the bat, the game failed for me. Still I gave it a try, to see if I could get over that fundamental preferance, but I simply couldn't.

I never have been able to get all that excited about games that followed that grid-turn-based combat style. Perhaps if I liked to play Chess, I might enjoy games of this type a little more.

I doubt it is much of something new if you've played the original and HoMM 1 through 5.

I'm getting the urge to play warlords for some reason.

Problem is, I can't remember which one i used to play.
