Ant tips on how to got knife kills, i.e. 7 in a round or more for basic knife?
Obviously head to head if they see you you are more likely to come off second best, so what are some tactics anyone could share.
Also maps best suited to knifing, i assume 64 player is the best for it?

imo the best way to do it : get behind enemy lines (sneak) and try to get behind their machine gunners and other camper players...thats how I do it in every other game

it's really not that hard, i havent tried for it, but i do it all the time with my gun. Especially on the Gulf of Oman map. If you go to their airstrip, theres a spawn point inbetween the building and the radar thing right there. You can prone right there and when they spawn, KNIFE!. I do it with claymores or c4 though normally.

I say Karkand is definitely your best bet to get kills. That's where I worked towards my badges for knife and pistol. Flanking people is the way to go. If you move quickly you can get like 3+ people before people notice that their teammates are dying behind them.

I actually have my veteran knife, and I'd agree with AmishSlayer. Karkand is great, just because of the constant action. But most of all, it takes practise. Just keep knifing, and eventually you'll get good enough that it'll come naturally.

cheers guys, will try karkand on a n00b server at 11pm or something hehe.
Ive been trying to get them running straight at guys, but i learnt the hard way its best to just get them when you get the opportunity, like when they're prone.

One time, I actually spent all of my ammunition and grenades and ended up charging an enemy flag point with a knife. I managed to kill one before dying.


Anyway, you can't get close enough most of the time to kill with a knife.

Don't forget not to sprint directly at them if they see you and kinda approach them at an angle. You'd be surprised how many players cannot hit a diagonal moving object to save their life

L85A1 is awesome at really close range- the spray just seems to always hit in just the right spots.
