heres a l85 the standard british army rifle, took me 2 days, crits welcome . also does anyone know how to get a model from 3d max into hl2 as a first person weapon ?

hey, that looks pretty good. the only crit i have is the wasted polies and the smoothing on most parts of the model could be better.

looks good though a couple of things. Is this for in game? the poly's looks hefty. the barrell has way to many sides it appears. the grip is a little blocky. the scope looks pretty good but a closer pic would be nice. the magazine release is not accurate but that could be the angle again. if you want C&C post a wireframe and soem more angles.

sorry if that comes across as putting you down. I'm not it's a good start just needs some optimising. I remeber how much of a pain it was to model that weapon.

The SA80 is the name of the family, the L85 and the L86 are the two rifles part of that family.

L85 is the standard, general infantry rifle.
L86 is the version with the longer barrel, meaning better accuracy and longer range used for more of a sniping engagement.

I bet you could stack 2 1/2 5.56 sideways in that clip You are supposed to be able to stack about 1 1/2
