This has got to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Terrible writing, meaningless plot, subpar acting, unlikeable charachters, etc. etc.

I know that it was developed as a children's story, but as I child I would have just been like, "wtf?" after I saw this movie.

It just made no sense at all.

What did the movie critic have to do with anything? Why was the body-builder guy the guardian? why the hell did everyone just magically accept the rediculous story?

Terrible movie :|

A few of my friends saw it and they all loved it. I may see it soon-ish, but I hated The Village, so meh, I may wait until the DVD release.

This director seems to get worse and worse with his stories. This has gotten really bad reviews.

I could not ****ing believe how bad this movie was. Honestly, it's the worst movie I've seen in theatres in a very long time. Absolutely terrible.

I would be pissed if it wasn't free.

The ads running on tv were so damn annoying and terrible that I didn't bother to see the film. Looks like I didn't miss out on much.

I've heard good things from some people and some hated it. I guess I'll have to see it for myself.

I used to love the Sixth Sense so I've always watched Shyamalan's films... but not so sure about this one. The Village was okay. I liked Signs, but mostly for its comedic value.

Ddn't like it either. I couldn't make a bit of sense of some of the things they were sayng.

Well, I liked The Village and never saw the Sixth Sense, but liked Signs enough thanks to the actors. I'll have to see this for myself...though probably not until rental time.

And this guy wants to do a Harry Potter film? No thanks.

Maybe Snape WON'T kill Dumbledore now!

But yeah, my biggest problem with M. Night Shymalan is that he's a huge egotistical prick. He writes about how he's this wonderful storyteller, when pretty much every story he's told is conventionel crap spiffed up with some dorky ending that no one could have predicted. And then critics like Joel Siegel bow down to him and kiss his ass before they've even seen his movies.

To be fair though, I loved The Sixth Sense and Signs, but jeeesus Village was awful.

I actually thought the ending for Signs was the most contrived of them all. I mean, the girl inexplicably thinks her water is contaminated and leaves glasses of water around the room, and the boy just happens to be asthmatic, and the uncle just happens to have been a baseball player, and Mel Gibson just happens to.... hmm, well I guess Mel Gibson didn't have any freaky quirky character traits, apart from the whole "I used to be a pastor but I've lost my faith" part which just happens to play into the whole "Due to random unbelievable occurances, I've gained back my faith!" part at the end. So that makes 1/4 of the main characters semi-normal, and the other 3/4 strangely adept at surviving alien attacks because they are either paranoid, asthmatic, or used to be a baseball player.

I still liked it though. It was funny.

I'd be lying if I said it didn't laugh a couple times, but I'd leave it for a DVD rental.

The thing that was very odd about Signs.

Water was apparently posionous to the aliens. Yet they invade a planet that is 70% water.

Good thinking guys.

The previews look sooo stupid to me. I might rent it but I am not going to go see it in the theater.
