lag bursting

i just got a new cable modem and so now every few minutes in any online game (esp cs:s) i will burst lag, and teleport around, even though my ping is around 80 and my fps is around the same. im connected by a router, all the necessary steam related ports are open. any suggestions?

Hmm.. i had a similar problem..
First, maybe its your ISP?
second, updated router firmware? (last resort actually)

when i had it, it just went away after a while :\

i have the latest firmware, does anyone have anymore suggestions?

apparantly i dont have the latest firmware, that fixed it right up. thanks bliink
