Do you think the language will be only english with subtitle like some good games ????

Or the language of the country ???

I talk french and I prefer english with subtitle because the traduction in french and the guys who make the conversations in french suck really.

Dude, did you not watch the dang e3 Video? Or the G-man video? REMEMBER he was talking in chinese? They showed specifically how its easy to change it to another language, yes you will be able to get it in english also with subtitles if you read the info from valve thread, they are including subtitles for the hearing impaired but I doubt you will get it in english with french subtitles, dunno tho email em' about it whilst they still have time to add it.

No, no no... they showed how easy it was for characters to lip sync in another language. They didn't just flick a switch and it automatically translated to chinese.

Chris_D is correct. this game will be entirly in english except for the alien's language, I think the subtitle will be an option in the game, so you can switch it on-off.

No, it will actually be translated into other languages, not just the subtitles. I'm too lazy to find it, but it's in one of the Gabe emails I think.

I'm not absolutely 100% sure, but I seem to recall a mail from Gabe saying that it WILL be translated AND subtitled, whichever you might choose to use. You could look through the E-mail thread, or dare a forum-search. (I'm too lazy to do it for you, and just give you the URL )

Oh now I remember - he said that it will not be translated right out of the box, but you could download language patches via steam.

That sounds probable. I'm not sure if I should worry about all this Steam-business... I play all my games on a box that doesn't have internet-access... I can't help but fear that they're gonna go the Microsoft-way and release everything via some stupid internet-updater... getting updates for XP using regular .exe's is hell!

Il est très probable qu'une version différente de Half-Life soit envoyée à d'autres pays. Ce ne sera pas probablement un 'setting' dans le jeu parce qu'alors le jeu devrait contenir beaucoup de différentes langues que le wich prendrait trop d'espace dans le cd. Valve fera probablement parler à de bons acteurs de voix en français pour la version française du jeu. La lèvre changeant les possibilités qui ont été montrées dans la vidéo E3 est preuve assez qu'ils ont l'intention d'avoir des traductions complètes de langue sans sous-titres. Vous pouvez devoir attendre quelques jours elle pour arriver en France cependant parce que le jeu est placé au bateau des États-Unis.

It is very probable that a version different of Half-Life is sent to other countries. It will not be probably a ' setting' in the play because then the play should contain much various languages that the wich would take too much space in Cd Valve will probably make speak to good actors about voice in French for the French version about the play. The lip changing the possibilities which were shown in the E3 video is proof enough that they intend to have complete translations of language without subtitles. You can have to wait a few days it to arrive to France however because the play is placed at the boat of the United States. Desole, my French is a little ' rusty'

Nan ta pas compris le jeux rien qu en anglais mais avec des soustitre de differente langue comme dans project igi.

Dans hl le jeu a la langue du pays la ou il se trouve donc au usa = anglais, en espagne= espagnole etc....

Par contre project igi c est rien qu en anglais dans tout les pays et tu n a que les soustitre dans ta langue.
