Laptop help!!!

My boss @ work gave me his sons two laptops to "speed up/fix" One, was no problem, simple mistakes like spyware and not defragging the hd. The other, a 4 year old compaq presario. My boss told me to upgrade it and he'll pay for it. Question is, idk what the hell I'm doing now! I thought itd be an easy job like the other one.

Anyway, it's a 4 year old compaq presario. It only has 60mb of ram, so I'm definately upgrading that, and even the hd is only 5 gigs. I think those two should boost its speed up drastically no? And btw, what kind of ram/hd do I buy for a compaq presario?!?!

Hit the nail on the head. You can't upgrade laptops. You can upgrade the RAM, but you will pay out the nose for that.

You will have to go to compaq's site for upgrades. Laptops are a whole different ball game than desktops.
