Laptop monitor to PC?

OK, so my mum's throwing out her old IBM ThinkPad because it won't boot, and it's not worth fixing.

I figure, seeing as how it's being thrown away, there might be some way for me to tear out the LCD screen and use it as a second monitor for my PC.

Just wondering if anyone knows if this is possible, and how I would go about doing it.

I know it is possible and there are written and internet posted guides on doing this, can't just bring you one right now because it has been a while since I last saw it.
