Is there any way possible, any way at all to upgrade a laptop video card? Sony says no...but who knows...maybe there's somethin i don't know. If so...PLEASE tell me cause then I could just to that instead of buyin a desktop. It's a Sony PCG-FRV25 laptop. Havent had any problems with it and it's pretty good speed. 2.66ghz 512MB ram (can upgrade to 1G)

Some companies will allow you to do it, recent Dell and Voodoo PC laptops I am pretty sure allow for video card upgrades.

However if you already own a laptop and an upgradable video card feature wasn't advertised then you probably can't do it.

My laptop is only a year old, and I've checked the ATI website but I cant find a place to purchase a video card from them

No, you can't upgrade laptop vidcards. They are made into the "motherboard" it's impossible... sorry.

Damn...if only there was a way to mod a laptop to do that...son of a @!#$#...I want the cool water effects...stupid Direct X7 video card. (IGP 345m)
