Laptop Repair.

Hello guys. My brother has a laptop that was busted a year or two back. The hinge for the lid is so busted that it can't really close, and we really need to get this fixed so we can start using it with good functionality again.

Any guides out there on fixing/replacing laptop cases?

Or do you guys recommend going to a computer repair shop? If so, what do the prices usually average? We're not having to repair hardware here... we're needing the plastic case to be repaired, specifically the lid.

I don't believe it is a name brand either.

Hmmm.....id say call the manufacturer and see what you can do....I assume a warranty is out of the question but you might be able to order that specific lid and slap it on yourself without have to have them do it for you and lose about 300 dollars in the process.

I can try that. I don't know who the manufacturer was though. As I said, I can't seem to find a brand name on it anywhere. We'll see what I can find, though.
