Lara Croft Turns To Diablo For Franchise Milking

So, ANOTHER game featuring arguably the most iconic gaming character of all time, up there with the Mario's and the...err...Sonics...

Do we NEED another Lara Croft game? Do we WANT another Lara Croft game? Surely the recent Tomb Raider sales will scream at Eidos to give it up.
She's legendary and everything but come on, some series have to die out.

Anywho. Theyve taken a complete new angle on the classic formula. The camera angle that is.

Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light, a new Xbox Live and PSN download coming in the Summer, basically takes a page out of Diablo's book and from what the trailer suggests, pretty much plagiarises it.

It looks like Diablo 3 with guns. And some jumping. And online sp co-op. And dungeons.

And...for some reason, I think it looks rather good.

No and no, i haven't bought a tomb raider game since tomb raider 3. Unfortunately there is no such thing as laying any franchise or IP to rest anymore. Even when they suck publishers will always try to reinvent it ie medal of honor (although the new one does look good IMO)
