Latency Help!!!

hey, i really really need help with my latency as it runs so high and the game play becomes crap and lags, is it to do with my firewall or computer?

Are you on a 56k..
though im on a 56k and can play online games and do pretty good.

Internet connection of course has 90% to do with it. However, if you have latency under...say 150 or so, and your normally getting 90 or so, then it could be your router..check connections and settings...

Are you downloading something in the background? When I'm BTing stuff my ping rises to 500 from 30.
