Latest Nvidia Drivers screwed?

I just tried installing them, and it messed up my system. It was giving me problems from the start, having installation issues and all, and now my system can't even recognize the gpu, and it's at 4bit colour now.

Any attempts to roll back drivers have been unsuccessful, and it's still unable to detect, and I don't have the old driver installer.

Really damn pissed now, I just bought COD: WAW today, and decided to update my drivers and now this. Goddamit!!!

unistall.....use driver cleaner.....restart.....reinstall older driver.

I'm using (Just installed) Version 178.24, and I'm doing Crysis Warhead at the moment without a problem.
Did you uninstall the older driver before installing newer driver? If not, (Guessing that you got XP) Restore system and go back a day before you updated driver. Hopefully that will roll-back driver and you can reinstall new driver appropriately. If you got a Vista, do whatever you Vista-Boys do and restore system: Hopefully you'll find "System Restore" under "System Tools" in the "Accessories."
