What do you think will happen to voucher holder if Valve is banned from steam distribution.

You'll have to get your free boxed copy instead.

That outcome may not happen, more likely Valve will have to give Vivendi part of the money that they make from Steam.

If anything is going to happen, it's not going to happen till next year, so don't worry about it.

You forgot the option 'this wont affect steam distribution' :p

Knowing half life 2 and its history, they'll find some other way to piss their fans off, other than cheap delays and being slow.

I hope nothing, but at the very least "Will be the only ones to get steam distribution"

It depends. If Valve looses the right to distribute HL2, and if, as far as I remember, the deal for the vouchers was between valve and ati (which seems odd too), the voucher peeps will be royaly screwed.

Also there must be some small print concerning the voucher either on the voucher itself or on the ATi box, you might look there.

p.s. about the 'this won't affect steam distribution' do you guys really just accept these statements at face value. Lol I wish I had such a trusting view of the world, must be lovely. It may be true but then it may just as easily be part of a strategy on valves part to get steam and hl2 so integrated in concept that the court will be persuaded to allow distribution through steam.

I would bomb the people responsible for not letting them distribute half-life 2!

Will be screwzored!!! OMG!!!

No, actually I don't think there should be any problems at all.

Boxed game in game would seem likely. However, I'm almost optomistic about this lawsuit thing. Maybe things'll work out.
