I have a 17 inch flat panel and I want to know why lowering resolutions makes everything look real...crappy. And when I do lower the resolution my FPS stays the same. My panels max resolution is 1280 by 1024 pixels and thats the resolution that looks the best.
I have also seen 19 inch panels that there max resolution is 1280 by 1024 and they have bigger screens, would the FPS stay the same or would they decrease because of the bigger screen?
Off Topic: I have this one problem with CS:S, I get this crappy sound in certain spots its like having low FPS but with sound only. This gets real anoying because it bothers me. is anybody else having this problem?
