Leadtek Geforce 5900XT performance !

I am going to buy this card soon.

Anyone knows how this card will perform with upcoming games like HL2 and Doom3 ?

and what about its PS2.0 performance? quiet bad when enabled in HL2...

for HL2 in particular, it is reccommended to use an Ati card.
for Doom3 it would be reccommended to use an Nvidia card.

it really comes down to personal preference.. i own an Ati card currently and am very happy with it and im sure an owner of an Nvidia card would tell u the same.

i would say to go with the 9800 Pro 128mb 256bit card.. thats my opinion

If you want good ps2.0 performance go for an ati, I only hear that the 5950 cards are the only ones nvidia had sorta fixed from the whole fx series with the least "issues" or whatever.

Well, the 5900XT's are amazing overlcockers, you cna easily raise performance with it. It's cosidered the best value/performace for the 5xxx series of cards for nvidia.

Here is a few benchmarks from some DX9 games. Tomb Raider has more demanding effects and shaders than FarCry. For example, Farcry actually uses PS1.1 (rather than PS2.0) for water effects.

From what I hear on Far Cry forum, the water uses PS1.4 or something, don't know if its true, but its what I have seen/heard on the forums.
