Leaked Doom 3 Alpha

Yea alot of people are gonna say im lyin but my friend told me earlier that he downloaded it of kazaa. He said he tried on multiple ones some contained viruses. I didnt believe him after all gettin the alpha for doom 3 sounds real farfetched. But he sent it to me and about 2 hours later i had it and yea its real but the thing is i cant get it to run it says it cant load some .cfg ill ask him about it tomorrow and tell u guys whats it like once i can get it to run. If anyone will tell me how to take a pic of ur desktop ill take a pic of the folders and all that if u need proof. As far as u dling it i would watch out since he said there are some virsues ut the version i have seems legit. If u want more proof im on aim now my name is the same as u see here so just im me.
They have a few pics of the game most from scenes weve already seen in the trailers but without AA or any of that other crap which makes it look kinda crappy

he was serious...its been out since 2002, so its not just 5 or 6 months . ID isnt doing anything obviously, their only official statement was that they were dissapointed and they didnt want users to base their opinions of the game on the alpha leak, and they said they would be changing the way they deal with companies.

Yea well iw as serious too i didnt know its been out that long but then again ive just now started getting into pc gaming (blame it on bad connections). If u have it what do i need to do when i try to run it it says "Couldnt Load default.cfg" what do i do?

Don't base your opinions on the alpha, and it is VERY short. You will still want to buy the full game. That is just a glimpse at the full game.

lol mchammer. It seems that you think the "alpha" is an early build of the full game. Its just three very short levels that wont even appear in the final game. they were made just to show off some of the technology to the e3 2002 crowd.

ya i got it like a month ago well just to replay it, ya thats right i played it back in november and its ok just very slow. And yes its just a alpha nothing like what the final product is going to be. If you still want to know how to play it pm me

A month ago? in november? do you realize you're not making any sense. And the alpha was leaked last year.

i've beaten the D3 alpha 18... no 19 times already............................................ 20.......... 21 (cheats).... 22. IT'S SO SHORT! Halo beta 3 times, unreal 2 beta like 1 gazillion when it came out. ohp! 4 times w/ halo

befor eyou run, delete the default.cfg. the game builds a new based off you're computers specs.
