Leaked Pentagon document on climate change has some scary stuff in it...

-- Britain will have winters similar to those in current-day Siberia as European temperatures drop off radically by 2020.

-- Europe and the United States become "virtual fortresses" trying to keep out millions of migrants whose homelands have been wiped out by rising sea levels or made unfarmable by drought.

That doesn't sound too good for you Brits.... but at least the world will be more exciting, what with all the strife, hunger, death, war, violence, and hysteria. That is of course if these predictions are accurate.

When world chaos erupts (if it actually does) does anyone wanna join me in arms to become a highly trained group of mercenaries? Think of it, it would be one of the greatest adventures we could ever dream of. There would be strife, death, sorrow, guns, battles, pain, just everything that we've enacted in all those games.

Ahh here we go sounds like to me the government is trying to throw other things in our face to fear so we dont question what they are actually doing, come on guys they do this all the time. EDIT: Im not saying that it might not be true, only that the government has always tried to keep us in a state of fear for obvious reasons.

I kind of doubt that since for the longest time they were telling everyone that climate change was not happening by rejecting Kyoto and such. If any thing this could prove to be a major embarassment for Bush, and is instead a bonus for the democrats.
 
i'll believe it when i see it. Lifes too short to spend worrying about things that could happen.

I totally understand what your saying and you could be right, but I seriously just see this as another fear tactic. Either way, even if these events do happen then oh well, like it said we arent sure (or did it say we cant?) if we can prevent them so just live these next years to the fullest! Nothin to be scared about your gonna die anyways!

Those 2 guns are extremely heavy and expensive, not to mention how much ammunition those things use up. Those are more suited for well supplied millitary vehicles' weapons than for a group of mercenaries. But the nuke is quite tempting....

That and also do other things to help "secure" Canada's food and oil supplies for the U.S. and select European allies. We'll need all the training and equipment we can get to take on the Canadian Mounties (who have, according to this, succesfully held off atomic invaders).
 
Am I the only one that is saying BS to that whole thing? Yahoo isn't the most reliable news source, and that report screams fiction to me.
 
Yeah, I think thats what bothered me.
It seems really reactionary for an internal government document, and no sources for the findings or reasoning are given. :/

Maybe all of this isn't actually true and my mercenary crew will never be.... ;( At least in either case there's still a shining gleam of hope that this predicted future will actually come true.
