This poll is inspired by a gaming session I had last Sunday during which I was slowly grinding pyro achievements (I had a three week pause in gaming) and while I got killed a lot and killed not that lot I noticed one thing which has always followed me when playing TF2 but haven't really noticed earlier.

That thing is that the Sniper is completely irrelevant to my enjoyment. That is, snipers never intimidate me, they don't really make me go after them specially, I don't feel angry if I get hit by one, for me they're like some sort of "OK I respawned." triggers which just sit on various corners of the maps and never actually contribute to anything. In short, they don't intimidate me at all.

So, what's the least intimidating class for you and why?

Scout. Easily. They're irritating if played well, but that's about it.

You might as well have titled the thread "most underpowered class?"

hah, druckles hasn't played against my brother.

A good scout is a killing machine. I would say engineer. Sure I respect a sentry. But the engineer, I have little fear of the redneck brainiac when he doesn't have his aimbot built. LOL

Scout, they are just pesky flies waiting to be swatted down by a rocket / minigun or flame thrower. The more often they are dead and out my way the better. He exists purely to irritate and provide nothing to a team but to 'do things' x 2. His attitude grinds me too.

edit: Pesh, you say that but when you see someone say SPY, your whole team goes crazy, heavies spraying everywhere, engineers shotgunning everyone, pyros spinning around flaming. Everyone wants them dead, they do intimidate, alot.

Medic.

It is safe to assume no one has fought against a decent scout in this thread.

Scout, definitely. He's a fly, that's all. The only time they're are intimidating if when half of the opposing team goes Scout and runs through all of your CPs, lol.

What were you saying?

Probably the Sniper i never worry about them.

Medic.

I have once. He was like a ****ing hamster running around near our spawn point on Goldrush. I did get him two times though as a Demoman - placing stickies where I thought he'd surely run to and it worked both times. But yeah, no one I'd like to battle against ever again.

Sniper for sure, just an irritating killjoy when you're on a roll in an open area.

By far the most least used class in competitive play - the Pyro. He's just useless in anything other than packed public servers.

*mumbles something about nubs and backburners*

I'd have to say I'm quite intimidated by a pyro as a soldier or demoman now. Sure, the backburner's slightly powerful, but even without it, a pyro can be a deadly foe at short range. I'd have to say the scout's far more easily "swatted" than the pyro, thus less intimidating.

Scout. They're like irritating flies. I voted soldier though, since it's late and I thought I was voting for something entirely different.

An engi separated from his sentry is always easy killin'. But if we're talking whole class packages...

Heavy, then Spy.

You don't think an ubered heavy is very intimidating?

Spy's piss me off when I get backstabed. That's it. Other then that when I see a Spy "nice my axe needs to feed anyway".

Heavy. I usually play as Scout, and you can just jump over them and scattergun them or hit them with the bat before they can spin up.

Scouts, when played well can irritate, especially when you play soldier, trying to kill them with rockets is near impossible if they are played well.

Scouts are more intimidating than the engie just because of the speed. Weapons about the same.

To me, Snipers are the least intimidating. Whenever I think one is looking near me, I just bunnyhop, and almost never get hit.

I actually hate scouts! They are always on my butt.

Only if you let them get ubered. And the easiest thing to do in that case is run away. I'm more afraid if the class in question can actually keep up with me (ala Pyro).

Unfortunately, there are some people out there who really don't know anything else except pointing and clicking. It's those guys who intimidate me. Well, they piss me off more than anything. But I'd have to say scouts are less intimidating.

Scouts. Easy to swat, almost never well played.

When I'm anything but a scout, I get worried when there are scouts around at any sort of close range. I voted Sniper. They're annoying, but unless there's a really good sniper on a server a coloured dot hovering around my base is never enough to stop me.

As far as I know, most people who consistently play sniper are really good.

Soldiers. They move slow, their rockets are slow, and I'll only run away if I'm a free medic. Snipers will keep me from running certain places if I see them covering me. I've seen too many good scouts to want to tango with them, and more and more they're wasting heavies by themselves. The engineer should be thought of as an aggressive heavy that can't move. Even though he can scoot around, you have to consider his sentry as one of his weapons, and they usually define where attack/defense takes place.

pyro is the least intimidating 4 me hes so simple and engies r toooo complicated, i mean dispenser here, sentry there, SPY!

Heavy weopens guy as sniper for sure, I always hope they pop up.

I picked scout. It's very rarely that I am running through a map and see a scout running towards me that makes me say 'Oh shit'. All other classes have done it at regular intervals, but very rarely a scout. Mainly because they are always played by idiots.

Spy. There's so little they can do once uncovered, and they know that.

Not scout because on Badlands they make or break the game as much as a medic, ninja caps and all.

On Gravelpit defense or Dustbowl stage 2 defense I routinely get new records, only class I'm still getting that with since I got the game.

And if the enemy has a good scout, sentries are the only real defense.

Edit: Just noticed everyone's scared of demomen! Not a real suprise.

They're actually faster than scouts

Yes because you run away from the rocket on exactly the path it's travelling... :| Rockets are shit easy to dodge unless you're a heavy who has his minigun spinning.
