A high quality trailer dubbed the Zombie Survival Guide has been leaked by an unknown source according to Shacknews. The trailer shows plenty of cinematic action with the four new characters, new infected and new weapons including the chainsaw. Check out the video below (also available in HD).[br]

Sweet ****ing lord. I... wow, ****in' A. I don't have access to my Xbox until Christmas but man am I hyped.

Fantastically made trailer, really made the game look like it had more of a coherent story and narrative and generally brought a lot more life to the characters. Cannot WAIT to plow through this.

This is by far the best trailer I've ever seen... Gee... Really awesome... Guess many of those skeptics that didn't pre-ordered the game are gonna do it just because of this trailer... I've watched it like 10 times already... Can't wait to get my hands on the game next Tuesday :]

Jeez, people are going overboard praising this. It wasn't that good. It's basically just a bunch of random cutscenes of zombie hacking and one liners to badass music. I mean, I really liked it, but come on now.

What I do love is what I originally found fault with. It's a bunch of spliced together cutscenes. A BUNCH. Valve has clearly made making campaign trailers such as the No Mercy one a priority. And the end features them descending into the middle of the mall from an elevator, which seems like it would be in the middle or the end of a campaign. Possible that loading screens between maps will be made into short movies?

That's why we're in love with it. Clearly these characters are just as great as the first bunch. I remember that being one of the hardest things to get past about left 4 dead 2 for many people. You know how the original Left 4 Dead animations, and scenes got better before the game released? Well this is that improvement... yet improved still. These graphics look top-notch. I haven't seen a valve game look this nice since hl2 came out. Really. Huge graphical improvement. That's just one of the many things that got me hyped seeing it just now.

And, like you said, the trailers for every level... Purely awesome. I absolutely cannot wait to get this game. The new bosses look amazing, the new characters are just as cool as the last, especially the coach, and the promise of a much larger arsenal has got me giddy with excitement. i won't be able to sleep tonight. Thanks Valve, I have a test tomorrow, ya know...

Hit the nail on the head there, Van. When the first trailers and preview videos rolled around there was nothing to indicate that we would really like these characters. That was one of my major concerns about the game at the time, and the thought has now been extinguished. Job done.

We've only barely skimmed the surface of the character's personalities. Soon to be memes just like with things like "I hate 'x'" and such. If Valve can do 1 thing right, it's characters.

I don't suppose anyone else noticed the Spitters...ummm...chest? Very tight, if you know what I mean. Or loose, on second thought.

Also, I lol'ed at the chocolate joke.

And, there is a slight continuity error. After Coach and Nick save Ellis from the Smoker, you can see that the tounge is still around his waist, but when the camera is on the very wide view, it is laying on the ground.

I was originally putting this game off and waiting a few months to buy it, since I had other games I wanted to play over this one.

But now that MW2 has been prematurely killed, and I have nothing to play, I just might reconsider.

Few things:

- Ellis looks like Matt Damon.
- Rochelle has an Alyx Vance expression on her face when she says "Kill all son's of bitches, right?"
- I think there might be an uncommon infected (some SWAT guy?) in the Mall campaign that disarms you. That montage of uncommon infected (Clown, Hazmats) ends with Ellis getting disarmed then smokered. Just a thought. Haven't been keeping up with news.
