Doug Lombardi has sent out a press statement this morning confirming that Crash Course, the second downloadable content (DLC) update for L4D will be made available worldwide on September 29th on Xbox 360 and PC.
Crash Course delivers new single-player, multiplayer and co-operative gameplay to both platforms, and bridges the gap between the end of the "No Mercy" campaign and the beginning of "Death Toll" in the original game.[br]While containing both Survival maps and a Co-operative Campaign, the primary goal of Crash Course is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game's existing Versus campaigns. A recharge timer for infected teammates has also been added, and item spawn behaviour has changed for more balanced gameplay.
[br]Please note that this DLC will be available for free to PC, but will be 560 Gamer points ($7) on Xbox Live.

Xbox player = pwned

btw, the next week or two will probably be the last few times I touch L4D, considering that L4D2 will be out in mid-November.

yeah xbox player got totaly PWNED by microsoft. :x

Anyway its great to have it for free on PC, thanks VALVe

Its a shame Valve are not supporting the PS3. I would be surprised if Sony forced them to charge for it, given their history of being more excepting of free modifications.

Microsoft are slowly forcing the mindset that nothing can be free, and i can see that bleeding into the PC space if developers think they will get away with it.

****, I thought this was today. I'm thinking of the L4D2 demo.

Exciting. I can't wait for the glorious week or so where nobody knows how to cheat their way through the finale and which corners offer the best camping. It'll be just like those first couple of months of L4D when the game was at its peak and everyone from Steam Chat would play it every night.

Ah memories.
