Oh my, I thought Valve had turned the corner with the previous TV spot which was succinct and well delivered. This is really bad, haha!

"How about "these are your friends, now" song to represent the L4D teamwork"
"Good idea! Lets randomly splice that bad song with the intro trailer"

Oh my lord. Well that's 1/10th of the $10 million investment wasted.

If I was the average gamer, seeing this commercial would not captivate me into buying the game, or even looking it up.

If you look beyond the Preconceived Valve Boy Fandom we have, this commercial is actually confusing and doesn't explain quickly and clearly enough what's going on in the game, except something to do with friends? Not necessarily your actual friends? Maybe just AI friends in a single player game? About doing....?

In other words, I think they should use their first TV spot instead, it will get them more sales.

The asteroids one wasn't fake, we got sent that by Doug Lombardi, it's completely authentic I assure you. It's just...unorthodox and...weird.

I like the asteroid one better. Personally, I'd rather see something unique than just a list of why the game is awesome or gameplay/cinematic clips.

That's rather bad, especially when contrasted with how awesome the first TV spot was.

And no new footage, they've got like an hours worth of cinematics to pick from and they go with the stuff they have already shown the public.

Looks like valve have let us down with this commercial. Nothing new here really. Also I preferred the Orange Box clips to this one!

I think the reason most of us aren't liking this one is the fact that the first TV Spot came out before we saw the whole movie intro. Obviously now its not going to be as good because we have seen all the clips before. I will agree the music isn't really fitting and I did prefer the first.
