Lenooooooore!

[The Dark Elf]

Part of a project I'm working on, this being the weathered and old looking painting of Lenore. The painting, even individual brush strokes do still catch the light and there is a slight reflection going on, but its hard to spot in a still image.

And yeah, it is a project based on something Edgar Alan Poe wrote, but can you guess which? (not very hard hehe)

Cool pic btw, especially with the clothes and face; nice realism, and the ageing looks pretty realistic

Same here Always wanted to do something with the Raven, and now I'm getting to. Having tons of fun with it. Gonna be pretty creepy when im done too, the expression on her face in the painting is perfect for what I have in mind, with her looking downward like that

yep! Thats why I thought it was the perfect image to go with, that and the clothes fit the part too So got permission last night and then started work on it, finished this morning, got all the details and then had to basically ruin it to make it look old. Which was upsetting cause I'd put a lot of work into that ffs lol.

Working on the gold picture frame at the moment, did one but didn't like it, so tried again, and this one looks alright, still not exactly how I want it to look but I don't fancy a frame made up of thousands of extra polygons if I can help it, be a bugger rendering all that. Will post it when its done.

I'm thinking of maybe having the painting move a little, when your not paying attention to it, haven't decided on that yet.

Thankies.. Will look better when its in the final scene and lit properly, just default lighting for now while I work on things.
