I made a small outdoor map with a shed, and have some problems with my light (I used one "light_enviorment", Outside ... One "lightspot" and "light"... in my shed. when i play my map, and walk into or thrue the shed the lightning changes on the brushes inside of the shed. look at the pictures i added... so my question is : Can anyone help me fix this ?

I would like to know why that happens as well.

Have you tried with "full lighting" compiled? Or is that with fast lighting?

So when your walking through the shed the light changes? Not after one compile it will be lighter, and another time it will be dark?

I'm guessing it has something to do with your placement of the env_cubemap entity. Try putting one in the shed.

I had the same problem with my lighting. Try changing the textures in the shed. In my map i used a texture where it did the same thing. If you are really set on that texture just look for one that looks similar. Im not sure why some textures do that...just try changing it.

ok i compiled everything normal and i have 4 cubemaps in my room.... But when i changed my textures everything was solved. Thanks allot for the tip npstaind

It saved me allot of frustating hours.

sounds like you where using a texture that was a 'model/'

when you browse the textures, make sure you dont use any that are for models.

Ah yes, I remember.

Never, ever use any textures that have "model" in the path.

Those textures are intended for Meshes, not BSP, and have screwy vertex-based lighting.

I wish there was a way to stop "model" textures from showing up in the texture browser.
