light-textures are FUBAR!

i don't know why.. but in source game engine, lamps.. fire-textures and spotlights etc, become big white squares.. sometimes proventing me from seeing whats behind the lights.. and it really bothers me.. PLZ.. someone.. help.. i have dx 9.0c and geforce FX 5700 LE 256mb AGP.... and i have the NEWEST possible drivers..

Seems like you are running the game in an earlier version of Direct X... Make SURE you are running it at DX 9 level... lights will look at that with DX 6... not sure why it would happen though.

the same thing with dx 7 , 8, and 9.. when i run Dxdiag and Direct3D i don't see the textures on the cube.. only a white thing ^^.. this is really a problem.. if ANYONE knows what i could try or do.. plz reply.. :sniper:
