List of Cancelled Sci Fi FPS (One Looks Like An Early Version of Doom III)

As we await Doom 3 and HL2, here is a list of cancelled sci-fi FPS that will never see the light of day.

Take a look at the one called "Internal Pain" - you can see a short video from Gamespot but look at it carefully - doesn't it look like an early version of the Doom 3 engine? Not bad for 2001.

The doom3 engine was pulling alot more impressive [REALTIME] demo's at 2000, not that big deal

That's pre-rendered CG. Doom 3 actually has those graphics ingame

Before you say "then why are they in the screenshots?", let me tell you that gamespot also posts concept art and pre-rendered CG also in the screenshots.

That video of Internal Pain doesn't look to be pre-rendered. The framerate is so horribly slow, as would be expected by a game of 2001 with the hardware that was available. I don't see why you guys insist it's pre-rendered? When's the last time you saw a pre-rendered scene where they show the first person view, with gun, and flashlight, and..?

Cool info that internal pain game looked cool.

That doesn't look anything like Doom 3, and the game is a lot different, Doom 3 is linear that game isn't

Interesting how many of those games actually looked cool back in the day - and still do.

I guess most of these games fell short of the grim reaper of gaming, economics.
