Little, insignificant and pointless questions often pop into my head. What about you? Here's a thread where you can share them and maybe even get an answer. Today's:
I know that thoughts are basically electrical signals in the brain, so if our bodies had a better conducter than what's currently in our heads, would we think faster?

I think yes, but then the brain fluid in our body may need changing.

I usually get these kind of thoughts when I'm hungover, they buzz around my head, and I try to shoo them away with a newspaper.

What is positive / negative charge? What is responsible for it?

My current little thoughts are WTF IS SCREWING WITH MY STUPID HEADPHONES.

GRAH.

Our cells will probably have to be able to cope with that strain. I think (been two years since I learned this :p) that some cells can't go above 80m/s in terms of letting signals through.

Anyway, the speed of the signal isn't dependent on the electrical impulses (which are fast), it's the speed of the chemical reactions in the nerve cells.

Who knows, maybe I just made that up.

That's true aswell. Nerve cells interact chemically and electrically.
