Eurogamer Review 9/10

No doubt this will be lost under the sea of holiday titles, but I'm really happy to see it turned out well. I did two sessions game testing for this game a few months ago, which was one of the most enjoyable and highly paid experiences of my life. It was amazing to feel like I was making an impact on the game's development, despite some massive frustrations with playing alpha code. Even then, it was a truly impressive title with little to differentiate it from the PS3 game. You seriously need to see this game in motion, it's utterly gorgeous.

I will also be receiving a copy signed by Stephen Fry which is pretty cool.

Most definitely yes. The first time I did it I was playing through the story, which wasn't so bad except for a few unfinished levels. You have to give constructive feedback, and lots of it, but since I enjoy critiquing games this was no problem.

When they called me back, however, it was for the level creator and my God that was tough. It was very ropey back then so crashed and data loss was a real issue. And when you've spent a few days making a level, only to lose it, that's a real bitch.

Their hospitality was fantastic though. We were well fed and had an infinite supply to Coke and Sprite. Plus it was something like £30 an hour, which is likely to be the highest hourly rate I'll ever be paid. Got to meet some really cool people too, it was a great time.
