Locations anyone?

I'm not asking for where everyone's from, but I'm referring to putting locations near people's avatars when they post. I can't remember if they used to be there a while ago, but if so, why were they taken away? I'd prefer to have them there. For some reason I just like being able to see where people are from; maybe it helps give me perspective instead of just feeling I'm talking to Americans when I know that a lot of Europeans are here. Anyway, I'm sure it's been brought up before, but what do you guys think?

To be honest i don't see the use of it.
Would you approach or address people in a different way, when their locations are shown?
I certainly hope not.

Everyone coming on here SHOULD know this is an international forum, with people from all over the world. If you really want to know where they're from, ask them.
