wow, i did it tonight.

3am, going to the gas station to fill up car and get some smokes.

i was wearing my sweatpants that had no pockets in them, didnt think about it at the time.

i toss my keys down on the seat and walk in, and i have a bad habit (or good..?) of always locking my door.

i walk back out after i made my purchases, only to find that my car keys were locked inside my car. arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :flame:

man, that really made me mad. i had to call my dad to come bring me a coat hanger and a phone book (in case i had to call a locksmith :() and we jimmy'd open the door lock. great.

anyhow, just thought i'd post this so you all would know how much of a fool i am.

anyone else ever lock their keys in the car? :(

Ugh, almost the exact same thing happened to me - except I already had cigarettes, I was buying some food for the stanley cup playoffs

make a spare key and put it in your wallet! I always have a spare key in my wallet. I also have 2 battery full charged jump starters in my car just in case. Why all these you ask ? because one day my car didnt start (out of batterys) in the middle of no where. It took hours to get back home and then i had to go back with my brother just to jumpstart it and go back!

Its good to have spare keys and a charger , extra gas , etc with you whenever you drive your car, you never know when you're gonna need it. Ive learned my lesson :) I think everyone should have all this in their cars.

top of the line emergency power generator (jumpstart) $100.00
spare keys $10.00
extra gas $5.00

getting out of a bad situation PRICELESS!!!!!

I can't lock the driver's door without my key, so it's pretty much impossible to lock myself out.

lol @ the picture, quite fitting.

When we were in USA my father locked the car keys in our car... Haha. So we braked up the door with a crowbar, to bad it looked so awful on the door when we got the keys.

:D

But we fixed that a couple of weeks later.

my car has an auto lock thing on it...

if the engine is turned off for more than ten minutes the damn thing locks... regardless of whether the keys are in the ignition...

I've been parked in my front drive and managed to lock myself out of my house and my car (same keychain) until the g/f came back... 3 hours later.

Luckily i had my smokes on me and access to the garage :) Nedless to say that was the first time the lawn had been mown in about 3 months.

I loked my car keys in the car boot once... Well, still have to fix the lock...

My car's locks decided that they suddenly worked the other day. (I will hit all the locks in public places just so they look like they've been locked, but to my knowledge at least two of them have never worked.)
And they also decided that they didn't want to let my keys unlock them.
So I had to climb in through the trunk. :D

Seeya.

4-5 times here... haha... :D

Uhh, don’t know exactly, was some months ago... but I think it was like 2-3 hours or so. :)

Oh, and sometime around 7 PM.

I got locked out of my house once, i had to take a dump really bad too, possibly the worst experience of my entire life

I've locked myself outside before, it was awful. It happened last year in winter, when we actually had snow. I had gone round to a friend's house cause we were gonna head to town once he got back home (can't remember where he went), but he hadn't got back yet so I headed home. I got to the door, checked all my pockets, and couldn't find my key. So I retraced my steps, still nothing. I didn't have my phone on me or anything, so I had to wait outside my friend's house, in the snow, for about 20 min until he got home. Not fun :(

A key wouldn't have done much good anyway, turns out our lock was broken. My dad had to kick the door down :p

hehe, happend to me , too, i locked them in the boot when i was oing to drive home from my grandma's. took the guy i called like 2 hours to get them outta there. he had to unplug the cars battery, otherwise he wouldnt have got the doors open.

I was watching this episode of COPS, lol I don't usually watch it but some little weiner kid locked his Mom out of the house and wouldn't let her or the cops in so the officer had to smash the door window and open the lock. So then, they came in and the house was mess because it was trashed by the kid. The cops went to his room and told him to come out from under his bed and he said no so they dragged this kid in his Batman underwear all the way out to the living room where the officer yelled at him as he cried and thrashed around on the couch.... I laughed so hard I cried... although its sad the parents can be that bad. :(

i bet if you hold open the lever for opening the door, and press the lock down it'll lock for you without the keys.

Like mahy, I have a habit of locking my door every time I get out of the vehicle. Well, once I was just getting out of my car for a sec. at my friends house, and I left the car running. But when I got out I locked the door, so the car was running with the doors locked for about 45 minutes until my parents could come give me a hand.

nah, that one still takes the cake.....or...keys....
