I'm off to London for four days, with my college.

Yay for me \:D/

We're going to visit lots of galleries, and museums etc. Most of the time we will be having to choose our own places to go to. Though, that doesn't mean we'l all just go off to KFC or something. Still, the hotel (Yeah, a hotel :D Not just a youth hostel this time) we're staying in has its own bar :D

Anyway, I'l be taking lots of pictures of our antics ;)...So, see you when I get back.

I'd say that I could meet some of you who live in London...but it aint gonna happen :p

i want to go to london, but the stupid atlantic is in my way... stupid ocean.

Good luck m8,

come and visit me at London North, Colindale.

:)

don't forget to post some pics

Hey if you read this, i would love some pictures of london, particularly the skyline and some key places.......if you could get a few for me your name would go on our mods credits :)

Have a great time in London! Be sure to share any good stories/pictures with us when you return :)

Have a good time, London's great, get to oxford street and china town... and then soho ;)

wooo i want to go to london!!

Have a good time, take lots of pictures!

<Sighs whistfully> London's great. You'll have a great time - go to Camden, which is awesome. Will you be roaming the streets and pubs and clubs at night?
I'm going back to London on wednesday to go to a gallery, actually. Maybe I'll see you. Except I probably won't. Not least because I'd have no idea who you are ;)

Lol, but the ocean was there first before you.

Well I could easily meet up with you, but then I wouldn't know what to say :p

Just make sure you don't jump into the bad parts of London, such as Hackney, Leytonstone, Bowe, and some other random parts I cant remember. You will probably easily avoid those though, since you ain't exactly going through the WHOLE of London are you. :p

Ah crap, i need to visit some galleries and that for my Art too. Damn... this could have been a good chance

Look for the northener with the meaty set of sideburns ;)

Hope you have a good time Farrow :)

Desperately not trying to be negative, but London is basically a large shithole.

Anyway, there are one or two nice bits :) You must, MUST visit the Tower of London, and make sure a beefeater takes you around for the tour. Its utterly fantastic. Make sure you visit the Crown Jewels, it brought a lump to my throat :)

Also go to Piccadilly Circus, worth doing just to say you've been there. Trafalgar Square is obvious as well, and the Millenium Eye is good too.

If you have time, go to the Houses of Parliament, its a stunningly beautiful building, much of it remains generally unseen. Its jaw-droppingly awesome, probably the finest example of Victorian Architecture still around, and there are also parts of the original Palace that are included in the design.

I'd recommend finishing the day off with a visit to the Hard Rock Cafe (one near Green Park), ****ing great food, not too pricey, and a great atmosphere.

I used to live in Lewisham.. that was a bad area, and my cousin lives in Hackey presently :D

gg dodgyness :p

hf Sparra ol' chap :D

Hackney rocks. I'm born and raised there and it's where I still live when I come back from uni. I owe a great deal to that glorious borough.
But yeah it's not the nicest place in the world. Elephant and Castle's worse - God I hate that area.

Yea that place is bad too, but I dont live much near there. I live in Walthamstow, which is near, but not in bad areas :D :D

I got some video that one of my mates gave me from a more 'ghetto' college that i go to, and its a video of a group of thugs rampaging through a local shopping mall (in stratford), beating up women, mugging people and shooting fireworks at small kids. Well i aint got the video anymore, i watched it once and never again. God i hate them, why do they have to live among us.

We did a youth scheme in Hackney.

Depending on how old you lot are, Shoreditch is a good place to go, bars a bit pricey but so's the whole of london. Check out cargo, I painted the garden with a few others..

Go Camden market and Portabello Rd on a saturday both def worth a trip. And do all the usual touristy shyt.. eye hp sauce blah bleh.

Oh yeah, imax cinema. Near waterloo station, 3d cinema with a screen the size of 5 double decker buses. If you don't visit that I may have to slap you.

Heh, Lewisham's not too far from where I live, Bromley. Bromley's gone downhill lately :(

Well I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted to. Mostly its of stuff you'l find terribly boring, and the rest is a private...

Not Comradebadger private ;) :p but still not really stuff I'l post in the internet.

Maybe I'l upload some tommorow or something. Right now, its pancake time. I didn't get a chance on Tuesday.

Most of the time we were actually at galleries(Up at 8 in the morning :)). It was only in the evenings that we had free time. On the first night, we all went out to eat in small groups and then the bigger groups came back to different rooms and we all got insanely drunk :O

The next night we did similar things, and last night again people did similar things but I stayed in my room with 2 of my friends and we just listened to music, drank some alcohol (they also smoked some of the old "aromatic" tobaco.) and messed about doing artwork.

It's full of trains!

Hope you had fun Farrow. Shrove, not pancake!

Can't wait to see your pictures :) I love london, the busling streets, the towering skyscrapers and the claustraphobic urban jungle are all supressed by the huge, calm, passive Thames. All great cities are connected to water- London, New york, Sydney... They're all so great because the heavy, tiresome work day is neutralised by the dazzling liquid. The night sky would truly be a wonder when it is being reflected in the calm, hazy water.

Oh well sorry...

My shroves were very nice. The ones I didn't get a chance to eat on Tuesday

;)

I really don't think there are any pictures that I'l upload :) There just doesn't seem to be much point.

You ate confessions? I tried to eat words once, but I died.

Ohhhh i so live in london and i get to see the shizzle every day! and i so havnt spend £25 on pound a drink night! omg! Stormy never be drunk!

I did have fun though. It was marvelous.

Thanks for the welcome :D

There was a strange man in the toilets who stood behind me while I was at a urinal. He just kind of grunted and stared at the wall next to me. I asked him his purpose in life and he walked away...;(

Edit: oh I just remembered. In the Trocadero,a place near piccadilly circus, they have a big arcade. There was a guy on the dance mats. This guy was hardcore  he had a towel(for wiping his face after every level), and a range of refreshments to keep him going. When we left, he was apparently about 1 level away from completing the game. He wasn't even Japanese :O He looked pretty geeky though. We just couldn't stop laughing. It wasn't even malicious, it was just that his feet were moving so fast and then you look at the rest of him and wonder how its possible.

Well apparently not. People were very open about offering services like that...In fact, several times were we told about the special services offered in some of the clubs, by the women standing on the door. Actually, a few of my friends (female) were several times asked if they were working, on the street :x Guys would pull up in a car and say "Looking for business?"
