Look out AMD owners

Well some people are getting fake AMD processors, i suggest if you got yours in the past month to take a look.

That has been a problem before, retailers haxx0ring with the processors.

Whats the difference? They noted that the voltage was changed... But what does it do? Is it an older (ie 2000+) that they have upped the juice to? Its not quite easy to counterfeit a CPU

ypu being able to oc right out of the box really does suck ;( unlike you pentium ppl that pay twice just for a god danm name

yeah and being able to over clock a 2.4c to 3ghz on stock cooling sucks to....... and 3.3ghz with some good aftermarket air cooling.

I only own an amd at the moment....but the p4c is faster by a good bit...especialy in most games....


People pay twice the price for a 2.4c over a 2500+ becuase its a faster cpu....doesnt have much to do with the name...least not for me.

well.. after seeing this.. (i remember something similar to this happening before too) i will be very weary of shopping for AMD CPU's.. regardless of how affordable they are..


whats the point of getting an affordable CPU when ur being jipped from some haxor retailer?


anyone know if anything like this has happened with Intel CPU's?

well not really... But its sure fun to play with toys that cost $48 dollars each.. Ive gone through 2 1700+tb.. One @ 2.3 and this present can hit 2.5 with a nice day outside..

Yeah it happened along time ago and now intel locks their multiplyers because of it.

well, that doesnt surpise me one bit really. 1700's are dirt cheap, and if you have an oem deal with AMD they are probally down the the pricerange of $15-30. The all you have to do is overclock it, jump the price up to about $65, and people will think they are getting a killer deal on a +2400. No intel/amd wars pealse, i think everyone is sick of fan boys fighting.
