Cartoon movie, I want to say early to mid 90's. I can't remember much about it, but these animals get gassed by humans coming to cut down the forest, and kid animals end up safe because they were on a field trip, and they have to find some kind of healing plant or something. Their teacher was a badger. I can't for the life of me remember what it is.

I have a vauge recollection of that movie.

By far my favorite animated children's film of that era was the Secret of Nimh.

What?

Secret of Nimh came out in 82. Once Upon a Forest was 93. I guess you could combine both of those into one "era", though with some of the other movies that came out I'm not sure Nimh would be my favourite.

I mean, FernGully in 92. An American Tail in 86 and Fievel Goes West in 91. Plus all the Disney movies. Beauty and the Beast in 91, Aladdin in 92, Lion King in 94. Little Mermaid in 89.

Someone mentioned this one to me today (Actually confused it with FernGully) but we couldn't remember what the hell it was.

They just don't make good animated movies anymore. Last good one was Iron Giant, and it remains one of my favorite movies.

Oh man, Iron Giant was fantastic. I haven't seen that in forever.

You know what else I loved? The Pagemaster.

Anybody remember the brave little toaster?

That movie freaked me out.

i'm glad i was a kid when i was too. the newer movies are just not right. all have sexual innuendos and pelvic thrusts and the kids think they're funny but its only teaching them how to ****

Its one of my favorite too. Sadly, none of my friends ever want to watch it. And I loved once upon a forest. Anyone watch Rescuers Down Under? I dont know why, but I watched that movie over and over again. Ah, the good ol days of animated movies.

I can't remember what happened in Rescuers Down Under, but I recall liking it as a kid.

The Fox and the Hound was one of my favorite Disney movies, along with Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid.

Wait, wtf. Wasn't there a game based on this? Cause I think the characters resemble the ones from an adventure game I played probably around '96.

I don't remember the plot, but it revolved around the forest being attacked by "yellow dragons", which turned out to be

yellow excavators
.

I've never seen The Brave Little Toaster but it looks brilliant. That Worthless song is bleak as hell.

I've actually never seen The Iron Giant, I saw maybe 5 minutes of it years ago but my interest in animated films was beginning to wane by that point.

Once Upon a Forest was awesome though, I remember the characters pretty well.

My favorite animated film of the 90s would have to be The Lion King, though... with Rescuers Down Under following close behind.

I love you guys.

Oh God I want to watch it right now I haven't seen it in forever and I just ordered a huge movie poster of The Iron Giant and it's awesome my God it just might be my favorite movie of all time

I saw Iron Giant a couple months ago, and I'm happy to say, it is still every bit as amazing.

I don't know if I saw the entire thing...or even anything more than a mere trailer. Never got my juices flowing.

Brad Bird is a very gifted director/writer of animated films, though he's venturing into live action with 1906. If it's successful, I really hope it doesn't sway him away from animated films completely.

Edit: Holy shit, I didn't realize he also voiced Edna in the Incredibles. This man is a genius!

The anime fan in me has been temporarily pushed into a closet, because no-one wants to hear what they have to say (Spirited Away?). Nevertheless, I feel compelled to at least make some vague gesture towards Lilo & Stitch, which was IMO, the last time since Mulan that Disney Feature Animation actually made a worthwhile contribution to American animated film.

I just watched it last night.
Shit ****ing sucked how do you call that good? You guys have no ****ing taste all.

edit: jk, it was pretty decent, I just might try to find it on DVD.

I melted from the rage.

And then I read your jk.

And then I melted again.
